Narendra Modi: Is Mr. Narendra Modi the right Prime Minister for India? by DebaYan Datta Chowdhury
Answer by DebaYan Datta Chowdhury:
Hi. I live in Silchar, a small part of Assam, detached from the whole country. Only means of travel is through air which is obviously very expensive. Bus travel is also available but due to frequent landslides, one is forced to pay for the air travel.
Now we don't have Broad gauge here. We're still running on British laid Metre gauge lines. Previous governments have started the conversion of Metre Gauge to Broad gauge starting the year 1997. It was still going on before 2014 elections. Yes, it was going on for 18 years!! Recently, when Modi came to visit Silchar, he promised to do it in 6 months. But he lied! Under his leadership, it was completed in 5 months 10 days. See? compare 18 years with 5 months.
Now I am a common man and I don't really know how the foreign investments were going to affect us but yes, he really is working for India unlike the Congress Govt who worked for babus rather than the people.
